The Self-Transcendence 6 & 10 day races are in full swing and the park is humming. In the 10 day, Rimas is keeping his nose in front of Trishul giving the experienced Canadian hope of an elusive victory in the 10 day. Rimas is still dealing with a knee injury but he is a tough cookie. In the ladies race, Australian Sarah Barnett has closed the gap on last years champion Nataliya Hlushchuk who is averaging over 64 a day. Both runners have made significant improvements on their 2005 performances.
In the 6 day Dipali began the race feeling 100 % for the first time in a few years and has established an overall lead in the race. Bob Oberkehr, also up on last years race, has a little cushion on Mark and Glen Turner.
