World runner passes 24 thousand kms

http://www.worldrun.org

2005.08.10. [Starks; cross of Hwy. 20 & Route 47] -
[Elburn; green road sign on Route 47: "Sugar Grove 9miles, Morris 39miles]. Illinois State.

25km, 2:19:30h. Excl. food, water, road-finding, toilet etc. stops
Total 24146km.

Start: 08:14am.
Finish: 11:13am.
Time GMT - 7 hours

+21c, light overcast and medium wind at start.
33c, and same at finish.

Another easy stage and this time with fairly good room on the hard holder by the side of the road, so despite very heavy traffic it wasn?t too dangerous.

The legs are definitely picking up energy by now and perhaps its time to consider moving back to the 50km pr. day that I kept the first 1,5year of the run. At least once the humidity and heat has disappeared.

Debbie Jones again did a great job crewing. Hopefully she also has time to her own time as she has a 100mile race coming up in one month in Oleander.... Will be a tuff test that too!

The next stages are:

11.08: To: Montgomery.

- all the above on Road 47.

12.08: Plainfield (Hwy. 30).
13.08: New Lennox / alternative route via Manhattan.
14.08: Matteson.
15.08: Dyer.
16.08: Valpariso.
17.08: Hanna.
18.08: Plymouth.

- all the above on hwy. 30 East.
