Novel way to celebrate 70th birthday

Albany's Ultra Distance runner George Audley has found a novel way to
celebrate his 70th birthday. He is going to run from Perth to Albany.
His 70th Birthday is on August 21 and at 10 am he will leave from the
Burswood Casino Car park nearest to Sheperton Road and start his Birthday
Run.

He will use the logbook from the 1988 Perth to Albany Run in when he came
2nd and completed the event in just under 2 1/2 days.

This time as he will be 70 he is planning on running 70 kilometres each day
and take 6 days to complete the 406 kilometre run arriving in Albany on
Friday August 26

He will be looked after on the run by his wife Christine who said she has
given up trying to talk sense into him and would rather buy him a pair of
new joggers and send a card.

Good luck with it George. Looks like a terriffic hitout for Colac
